Many people in the aggregate business hear the words "used belting" and think of the thousands of feet of Flexco-filled, see-through trash that they have hauled off to the dump over the years. When we talk of used belting at Northwest Belt and Conveyor, we are talking about belt that has been used a little while at a large operation and was removed from service for a variety of reasons. Usually the belts are removed on scheduled maintenance, because the mining company schedules the change-out to avoid any unnecessary downtime, which is very expensive in large 100,000 tpd + operations. So, the belting we buy from these kinds of operations and add to our inventory is not only in very good to excellent condition, it is of the highest quality. Our belts are grade 1 and grade 2 and usually manufactured by Goodyear, Fenner, Scandura, or Phoenix. All of these features plus the price being half or less than half of new, make for a great value for most rock crushing operations.
